Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson is a 33 year resident of Las Vegas. His office has nearly 700 employees, 160 of them are attorneys, and they handle nearly 60,000 criminal cases each year.

Mr. Wolfson started his career in 1980 as a Law Clerk in the D.A.’s office. He was in private practice for many years, served as a Las Vegas City Councilman for eight years and was sworn in as the District Attorney in February of 2012.

Since taking office, diversifying his staff as well as increasing community outreach and education have been his top priorities. He actively participates in Metro’s Multicultural Advisory Committee. The D.A. Decisions he releases regarding officer involved shootings have been well received and have provided the community with information in each of those cases that they might not otherwise receive. Mr. Wolfson has an open door policy, which allows him to meet with many individuals and groups throughout the community who have unique concerns and ideas regarding their interaction with the D.A.’s office and the justice system in general.
